This school-based Speech-Language Pathologist assignment is located in Quincy, Massachusetts, a vibrant coastal city just south of Boston. This broad age and grade span offers an excellent opportunity to build your clinical skills and resume by working with a diverse range of communication needs across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels. You will be part of a supportive educational team that values collaboration and student-centered practice, working closely with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success.This is a school-year, Monday through Friday position, scheduled for approximately 32 hours per week. The role follows the district's academic calendar. The SLP is compensated only for hours worked
school holidays, teacher workdays, and closures (including those due to weather) are unpaid. A 30-day cancellation notice applies to the contract.Typical responsibilities include assessing students for speech and language needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, providing direct and consultative services, and documenting progress in alignment with educational requirements. You will conduct therapy sessions individually and in small groups, participate in IEP processes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment.The caseload includes students from PreK through 12th grade with a wide range of speech and language disorders. This provides an opportunity to work with varied diagnoses and service models, allowing you to broaden your expertise and explore different areas of specialization within school-based practice. Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School Licenses: SLP-MA Certifications: ASHA-American Speech Language Hearing Association Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field State SLP License in State of Residence Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
