The Hotel Kilmore in Cavan, part of Calusade Hotels group, is currently hiring a Food & Beverage Supervisor. POSITION SUMMARY The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of Food & Beverage services while delivering exceptional guest experiences in line with Calusade Hotels standards. This role supervises the team during service, ensures high standards of food and beverage delivery, drives sales through upselling and maintains full compliance with operational, licensing and safety requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Service Leadership & Guest Experience Ensure guests are served promptly, courteously and professionally at all times. Supervise lunch and dinner service to maintain smooth operations. Maintain strong product knowledge of all food and beverage offerings. Use suggestive selling techniques to maximise revenue and guest satisfaction. Monitor reservations and table flow within the Restaurant. Handle guest queries and complaints efficiently and professionally. Operational Standards Ensure all orders are processed accurately in line with hotel procedures. Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the Brasserie and surrounding areas. Ensure daily checklists and service plans are completed. Control par stock levels and ensure adequate departmental supplies. Keep up to date with hotel activities, function sheets and operational updates. Support the Food & Beverage Manager as required. Cash, Licensing & Compliance Ensure guest checks are processed accurately and securely. Maintain full compliance with cash handling and credit card procedures. Apply responsible service of alcohol standards and manage intoxicated guests appropriately. Ensure compliance with Irish licensing legislation and company policy. Maintain GDPR awareness and confidentiality standards. Health, Safety & Risk Management Ensure a safe working environment for guests and colleagues. Report hazards and incidents promptly to management. Maintain full knowledge of emergency procedures. Ensure team adherence to hygiene, safety and uniform standards. Complete required documentation via Flow and Alkimii where applicable. Team Leadership & Collaboration Supervise and support Food & Beverage team members during service. Promote high standards of grooming, professionalism and teamwork. Attend meetings and training sessions as required. Support rostering & team management. Work flexibly to meet business needs and service demands. Support a One Team, One Purpose culture. CANDIDATE PROFILE Previous supervisory experience in a Food & Beverage environment. Strong food and beverage product knowledge. Excellent guest service and communication skills. Good commercial awareness and upselling ability. Ability to work under pressure in a busy service environment. Knowledge of licensing legislation desirable.
