Your mission
Join our close-knit, early-stage distributed team, where we tackle exciting technical challenges and create transformative crypto products that give people peace of mind. As one of the engineers, youll play a key role in scaling our backend systems and take direct ownership of high-impact product and engineering goals.
What You Will Do
Build new features, products, integrations, and back-end services
Design scalable systems to support millions of users
Own and deliver top-level product and engineering objectives
Collaborate with team members across the company

Have strong CS fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, system design, and distributed systems
Write high-quality code, value software testing, and uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design
Enjoy designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services
Have experience evolving a startup’s architecture to support mid-size company growth
2+ years of software development experience
Productive, resourceful, and effective at problem-solving
Drawn to an early-stage, high-growth startup environment with less stability and more ambiguity
Strong fundamentals with a cloud platform like GCP or AWS
Interested in financial products and/or cryptocurrency
Able to work effectively in a remote setting and able to overlap with our core hours of 9 AM to 12 PM PT
Sample projects you might work on
Scale our data ingestion and computation platform to handle millions of transactions efficiently
Build a smart trade insights platform that recommends trades across exchanges, factoring in transaction history, tax lots, fee detection, arbitrage opportunities, and slippage
Integrate the latest country-specific tax regulations to deliver accurate, compliant tax reports for users
Our engineering process includes

Web: HTML, Typescript, React, React Native, Styled-Components
Mobile: React Native, Expo, GraphQL

You don’t need to know any or all of these, but be willing to learn!
The starting salary for this position is between $146,000 - $175,000 USD. Candidates location does not impact the posted salary range. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of job-related factors including relevant skills, education, and experience. This position also includes equity in CoinTracker and benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO.
