Certified Sterile Processor Schedule: Evenings, weekends, holidays, on call/callback as per unit needs; 40 hours/week Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 26 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Requirements:
Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD) BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician Experience in a large hospital (500 beds or more) Travel experience of at least 6 months Two professional references from the last two assignments
Roles & Responsibilities:
Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrument pans, procedural trays, and surgical case carts. Operate steam sterilizers following established procedures; ensure proper levels of time, pressure, and temperature; perform basic maintenance. Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment per established protocols to prevent cross-contamination. Receive and store supplies from vendors; document stock received and maintain inventory levels for surgical supplies. Perform daily quality assurance checks on sterile supplies and documentation such as sterilizer load sheets.
