Job Description

As a Elite Security Officer - Armed Driving Patrol Role in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This driving post offers the opportunity to support daily operations through clear communication, quick response, teamwork, and integrity while making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a busy retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing updates with site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the sales floor, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify authorized access when required, and support crowd management, loss prevention awareness, and/or de-escalation efforts during daily operations.
  • Maintain a visible presence while following all post orders and equipment protocols, reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Guard card is required in Texas only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
