Automatic Distributors is seeking a highly organized and technically capable individual to join our IT department as an *IT Project & Systems Coordinator*. This role will work directly under our IT Director to help manage ongoing technology projects, development priorities, and support workflows across multiple teams.
This position is ideal for someone with an IT background who enjoys organization, communication, problem-solving, and helping teams execute efficiently. The role combines project coordination, systems oversight, and operational support to ensure our internal development resources are focused on delivering the greatest return and impact for the business.
We are a national distribution company with operations and distribution facilities located in *Bangor, Maine; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Reno, Nevada*, supporting customers and team members across the country.
*Responsibilities*
* Coordinate and track IT and software development projects
* Help prioritize development requests, enhancements, and support tickets
* Work with internal teams to organize workflows and improve communication
* Assist in managing multiple development teams and vendors
* Monitor project timelines, task completion, and deliverables
* Help identify process improvements and operational efficiencies
* Maintain documentation, project notes, and status reporting
* Collaborate with department leaders to align technology efforts with business needs
* Assist the IT Director with day-to-day project and systems management activities
*Qualifications*
* Background, education, or professional experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field
* Ability to communicate effectively with software developers, IT staff, and business users
* Comfortable working in technical environments and understanding development terminology and workflows
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Excellent communication and follow-through skills
* Experience working with ticketing systems, project tracking tools, or development workflows
* Self-motivated and able to manage priorities independently
* Experience with ERP systems, software development environments, or business systems is a plus
* Experience with IBM AS/400 ERP systems is a strong plus
* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or distribution operations is highly beneficial
* Exposure to a variety of programming languages, platforms, and technologies is beneficial, as our environment includes multiple systems and technologies across the organization
*Work Environment*
* Remote work is available for candidates located in Maine or New Hampshire
* Candidate must be able to travel to our Bangor, Maine office as needed
* Primarily weekday schedule, though occasional after-hours work may be required for system updates, maintenance, or project implementation activities
