Job Description Meyer Distributing is looking for an Entry Level Sales Account Manager to join our Jasper team.

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for all inside sales functions, including inbound/outbound telephone calls, processing of sales documents, and representing Meyer’s interests with the highest regard to customer satisfaction in a professional manner.
Preferred Experience for a Customer Account Manager
Prior automotive parts knowledge preferred.
Entry‑level salespeople with solid customer service experience encouraged to apply.
Requirements for an Entry Level Inside Sales Representative
Excellent verbal and written communication and telephone skills.
Ability to communicate on the phone 90 percent or more of the shift.
Understand customers’ current needs and anticipate future requirements.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Attention to detail required.
Prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Planning, organizing, and follow‑up skills – prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and develop realistic action plans and follow up to ensure compliance.
Extensive use of a computer; experience with Microsoft Windows preferred.
Excellent negotiating abilities.
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities
Handles a high volume of telephone calls per day, working with existing and new potential customers, taking orders and closing sales.
Sources new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow‑up and outbound cold calls.
Processes all calls with efficiency and accuracy; keeps digital notes of all telephone communications; verifies orders before processing into the computer system.
Ensures that accounts are serviced and maintained in accordance with Company standards.
Recognizes customers’ buying patterns and promotes possible new product lines.
Contacts key accounts regularly; routinely contacts prospects to build sales and new customers; develops and maintains professional relations with customers.
Investigates and resolves all customer issues professionally and reasonably, resulting in conclusions acceptable for both Company and customer.
Meets or exceeds sales goals.
Stays current on product knowledge and trends.
Some travel possible as directed by supervisor.
All other duties as assigned.
