Summary/Objective:

The ideal candidate has a strong background in production environments, and demonstrated experience in building, executing, and managing detailed work plans across multidisciplinary teams. This role involves planning, executing, and managing detailed project plans while providing regular updates to leadership to ensure transparency, strategic alignment, and steady momentum toward our innovation goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Exercise independent judgment and discretion in overall project management, including prioritization, planning, progress tracking, and risk mitigation.
* Identify customer needs and translate into clear project requirements and objectives.
* Establish and maintain project scope, set quality and performance standards and risk assessment throughout the project lifecycle.
* Assign and monitor resources to maximize project efficiency to ensure on time completion.
* Manage, motivate, and evaluate software engineers in a project. Sets individual goals, support professional development, and participate in hiring and training.
* Communicate project outcomes and/or risks to appropriate management channels and key stake holders, escalating issues when necessary.
* Other duties may be required and assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position directly manages team members involved in assigned projects and is responsible for performance management and hiring decisions.
Required Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and presentation abilities.
* Demonstrated leadership capability and collaborative team approach.
* Project management experience in Waterfall and Agile based projects, including risk management, problem-solving, prioritization, and resource allocation.
* Professional project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2.
* Minimum of 5 year project management experience.
* Minimum of 5-year software engineering/development experience or;
* An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Knowledge / Skills:
* Safety Critical and Embedded software development experience.
* Software acceleration experience such as multi-core programming, SIMDization, CUDA implementation etc.

Work Environment:
This role operates in a professional office environment.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required.

Pay: $97,000.00 - $146,000.00 per year
