The Facilities & Operations Supervisor is responsible for the central coordination and execution of training, standards, and support of the custodial services program in the district. This includes onboarding, training, standardization of services/methods/procedures for the cleaning and maintaining of facilities, coordinating substitute services as needed, coordinating work groups/specialized task forces during specific needs or other focused work. Supervisor works in collaboration with Director of Safety, Security and Emergency Management for the coordination of building level safety concerns. This position oversees the South Kitsap custodial staff, as well as providing leadership support to the Facilities & Operations team as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in the hiring, onboarding, training and support of custodians District-wide in collaboration with their site-based supervisor.
- Coordinates response to absences or special events with custodial services.
- Monitors and maintains current custodial service standards and ensures quality work at all building locations.
- Performs site visits and custodial support as needed to develop & maintain high-functioning custodial teams.
- Safety Policies and Programs supports the development, implementation, and coordination to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies for employee, vendors, and student safety, research and recommend appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), research and recommend appropriate training modules for job classifications and equipment;
- Incident/Accident follow up In collaboration with appropriate staff, assists/conducts follow up investigations for employee injuries, unsafe work reports and student injuries, make recommendations to correct contributing factors that could minimize future risk and liability, put in work requests for building/grounds related situations, recommend additional training/re-training if needed;
- Annual Inspections supports annual inspections at buildings with local regulatory agencies (i.e.: Fire Department, Health Department, ESD, Insurance Company, L&I). In collaboration with the Director of Safety, Security & Emergency Management, follows up with buildings for identified corrective actions.
- Life Safety/Environmental assists with all life safety/environmental concerns and testing. Responsible for maintaining the Fire Extinguishers, AED's, RRP (Repair, Renovate, Paint) testing, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) review/approval and online database, RCRA (Resource Conversation and Recovery Act) hazardous material disposal, and the AHERA (Asbestos Response Act) program, to include recommendations, repair/replacement as needed, and review of work plans for projects. Coordinate with appropriate personnel to respond to Indoor Air Quality Concerns (IAQs), mold, and other environmental concerns.
- Emergency Response Assists with responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Reports to the Director of Facilities & Operations.
- Performs related work as required and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Training and/or experience equivalent to those described in this position summary. Specific areas include facility maintenance, custodial, supervision, safety, environmental/chemical safety, and/or related field(s).
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Practical knowledge of custodial protocols, facility maintenance, environmental safety/hazard mitigation, etc.
- Relevant experience with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and other computer software programs.
