About the role: We're hiring an Outside Sales Representative to take charge of driving equipment sales and building long-term customer relationships in a defined territory. This isn't just about selling forkliftsit's about solving problems, offering practical solutions, and being the go-to partner for our customers. You'll have the autonomy to manage your accounts, the backing of a team that moves fast, and the opportunity to make a real difference as we continue growing. What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain customer relationships, building a strong sales pipeline within the assigned territory
- Implement strategic plans to identify new opportunities and increase overall sales and profitability
- Conduct detailed customer needs analyses to create tailored proposals and solutions
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions
- Maintain working knowledge of used equipment values and support trade-in evaluations
- Assist customers with financing options for new, used, and rental equipment
- Attend training sessions and seminars to continuously improve sales effectiveness
Skills & experience we're looking for:
- At least 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the material handling or equipment industry
- Working knowledge of lift trucks, aerial equipment, racking, dock, and door equipment
- Self-motivated with a track record of prospecting and closing new business opportunities
- Ability to tailor sales conversations using effective questioning and listening skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a larger team
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
