Job Number: R0240201 Criminal Justice Data Analyst Opportunity As a data analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge to support our law enforcement and criminal justice community.
As a client-facing data analyst on our law enforcement team, you will work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, dig into their data-rich environments, and find the pieces of their information puzzle. You will provide a deep understanding of their data, advise clients on what the information means, and how it can be used to help keep our nation safe and secure.
Responsibilities
Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.
Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through analysis of large data sets.
Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
Apply data visualization skills and data analytics expertise by simplifying technical requirements and trends based on audience.
Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases and scripting tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Office Suite.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
Apply data visualization, including Power BI, through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across the federal criminal‑justice landscape.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience with data analytic or visualization tools to design and build formulas, charts, links, and pivot tables.
2+ years of experience working with law enforcement or drug data.
2+ years of experience manipulating unstructured data from different platforms.
2+ years of experience in IT, statistics, computer information systems, auditing, investigations, mathematics, and units of measure.
Experience with Power BI.
Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree.
Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.
Compensation The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
