As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients. Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process. To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures.
OR scrub tech will gather equipment and supplies for each surgical case based on surgical preference cards-scrub in, set up and organize field in a timely manner using approved techniques. Keep track of needles, sponges and instruments throughout the procedure and performs counts per policy. Report any breaks in sterility or techniques-speak up for patient safety. Assist team members on cleaning and turnover of OR room. Assist other members of the OR Team as needed Demonstrates understanding of the hospitals mission and values and demonstrate that in your work.
Job Requirements Required
Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program Certified Surgical Technologist or Technologist in Surgery-Certified Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred
Previous one year experience in operating room Endoscopy experience
