Due to a promotion, this premier employer is hiring a Human Resources Manager to continue to lead the company culture and the site human resources team. The Human Resources Manager will report to the VP of HR and will be responsible for the following functions:

  • Support the company culture by leading all plant HR initiatives
  • Foster an environment that supports the needs of the employees
  • Develop, support and improve ongoing training for front line supervisors
  • Evaluate, further develop and improve strategic plan of human resources for the facility
  • Empower and coach the HR team to meet their individual and team goals
  • Facilitate and encourage creativity in the recruitment plan for the plant, including conducting hourly and salary hiring and interviewing
  • Ensure that HR compliance is being met
  • Communicate at executive, manager and staff levels to resolve HR inquiries and concerns
  • Partner with operations on HR training, projects and communication
  • Coach and mentor staff on HR-related concerns
  • Oversee benefits administration
  • Establish and improve HR practices based on data and analysis
  • Manage the day-to-day HR operations and operate in a hands-on capacity
  • Oversite of FMLA and disability initiatives
  • Utilize the company HRIS for all documentation and reporting
  • Lead and conduct employee relations, including any needed investigations and resolving employee conflict
  • Conduct and evaluate hourly wage reviews in order to stay competitive in today's employment market
  • Complete daily HR functions as needed to support the team
  • Manage multiple HR projects at a time
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned

This is a dynamic manufacturing environment, a culture like no other. This is a salary, day shift position that will occasionally require candidates to participate in and support off-shift activities. This is a salaried position with 401K, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, medical, dental, vision, vacation and paid holidays.

Requirements for the Human Resources Manager:

  • A bachelors degree, ideally in a human resources related discipline
  • At least 7-10 years of similar HR management experience
  • Experience performing HR functions within a manufacturing organization
  • Experience with company benefits administration, including open enrollment, answering benefits questions, overseeing the wellness program, etc.
  • Experience leading recruitment initiatives, ideally salaried hiring
  • Solid HR law/HR compliance experience
  • Experience supporting HR functions in non-union work environments
  • A proven record of continuous improvement and creative thinking when it comes to problem solving
  • Experience working with an HRIS system or other reporting software
  • Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

Skills preferred but NOT required:

  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Supervision experience

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Piqua, Ohio area. There is not a relocation package available at this time.
