We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other age-related conditions.
*Duties*
As a Caregiver, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Providing medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals
* Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
* Supporting clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary
* Developing and maintaining care plans that address the specific needs of each client
* Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
* Managing behaviours effectively through positive reinforcement and behaviour management techniques
* Documenting changes in clients' conditions and reporting them to appropriate personnel
* Driving clients to appointments or social outings as required
* Ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients at all times
*Experience*
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience in senior care, including home care, hospice care, or nursing homes
* Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care practices
* Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care techniques
* Ability to perform case management tasks effectively
* Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on compassion and empathy
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties
* Use of the PCS system will be advantageous
