Architecting and scaling the AI agents facing platform, the full-time Principal Machine Learning Systems Engineer will lead the evolution of a hybrid search capability and agentic retrieval layer, ensuring high-quality results and reliability in a remote or hybrid work environment. Key responsibilities
Own the technical direction of the evolution from a vector/semantic search platform to a hybrid search capability Ensure low latency, high reliability, and cost efficiency for serving both human users and AI agents at enterprise scale Build and operate production search, ads, or recommendation systems while addressing reliability and latency challenges
Required qualifications
7+ years of experience as a software developer Deep experience in building and operating production search, ads, or recommendation systems at scale Hands-on experience with GenAI systems, including shipping agents and LLM-powered applications Expertise in hybrid search, including building indexes that combine vector/semantic and full-text/lexical retrieval
