Luminis Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our multidisciplinary Breast Health team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career caring for patients with benign and malignant breast disease while working alongside experienced breast surgeons and oncology specialists. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training, including support for the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) Advanced Practice Provider Certification Program.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients with benign breast conditions
Perform postoperative follow-up visits
Conduct annual evaluations for breast cancer survivors
Evaluate and manage patients at high risk for breast cancer
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, breast examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
Order, interpret, and follow up on breast imaging studies
Perform minor in-office procedures, including seroma aspirations and skin punch biopsies
Coordinate care across outpatient, inpatient, ambulatory, telemedicine, and home settings
Collaborate with breast surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and multidisciplinary care teams to develop individualized treatment plans
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, risk reduction, and survivorship
Participate in high-risk breast assessment, community outreach, and population health initiatives
Support quality improvement, patient safety, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission standards
Requirements
Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
At least 3 years of nursing or advanced practice experience in an ambulatory, outpatient, inpatient, or community care setting
Oncology, Women's Health, Breast Surgery, or Surgical experience preferred
Experience working within a multidisciplinary team preferred
Current Maryland licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for building long-term provider-patient relationships
