Provide patient-centered care by assisting with activities of daily living, obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for procedures, supporting discharge activities, and reporting changes in patient condition to licensed staff. Support clinical and procedural operations by preparing patient care areas, maintaining supplies and equipment, assisting with room turnover, and supporting nursing staff during procedures. Assist with administrative functions including patient registration, appointment coordination, referral management, insurance authorizations, phone communications, and documentation within electronic systems. Promote efficient patient flow by supporting care coordination, maintaining supply inventory, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Vermont Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience using computers and electronic health record systems. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to exceptional patient service.
