Description D3 Air and Space Operations has a contingency opening for an Applications Development Analyst at Tallahassee, FL.
General Responsibilities
Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions aligned with business and IT strategies and compliant with the organization’s architectural standards.
Involved in the full systems life cycle and responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.
Makes recommendations toward the development of new code or reuse of existing code; may include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.
Assists internal and external customers to produce detailed functional requirements of system components to be programmed.
Efficiently programs modules for use in and by the CSAB, including new modules or upgrades to existing functionality.
Provides assistance to community developers to facilitate additional application submissions and build out the shared development community.
Assists in software configurations and tuning systems for greatest performance.
Acts as liaison with hosting provider to ensure the environment is optimized for application performance and provides technical support for migration activities.
Ensures the security of deployed applications and performs maintenance activities on current production applications.
Migrates services from the premise based CSAB systems to an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) based CSAB system.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Equivalent work experience acceptable.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years as a program designer and implementer (or 2 years system/programming analyst experience as presented earlier).
Experience with operation and maintenance of enterprise applications, including PHP, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, SOAP/XML, PL/SQL.
Background screening and security clearance requirements met.
Competencies

Strong problem‑solving skills: attention to detail, logical thinking, creativity, persistence, adaptability, collaboration.
Teamwork and liaison experience across business units, technology teams, and support teams; ability to facilitate team interaction and foster customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a project team, occasionally leading a project.
Knowledge of software development life cycle and integration methodologies.
Location Tallahassee, FL (Onsite at 4030 Esplanade Way, Tallahassee, FL; Telework may be considered with approval).
