As a Systems Administrator at API, you will design and implement the organization’s network infrastructure and integrated IT systems, ensuring reliability, security, performance, and providing technical support to end‑users. You will also develop and maintain cybersecurity standards and baselines to meet industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform tasks, projects, and assignments as requested.
Install and configure internal and Internet facing network devices.
Proactively manage and maintain network devices, systems, and services to maximize performance.
Assist in the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of server infrastructure.
Develop technical documentation related to network and systems architecture.
Optimize internal network design to promote a strong security posture.
Design and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, including VLANs and subnets.
Monitor system resource utilization for trending reports and capacity planning.
Provide phone/desktop support for end‑users as needed.
Provide after‑hours support for infrastructure emergencies and off‑hour maintenance.
Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
Work with hardware/software vendors on escalated technical issues.
Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of the company System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
Construct relevant technology policies to ensure CUI and CMMC compliance.
Qualifications Hands‑on technical experience with the following:
Monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
VMware/ESXi.
Intune (MDM, MAM, CAP, DLP, etc.).
Azure AD / O365.
Firewalls, wireless controllers, switches, and other networking devices.
Disaster recovery, intrusion prevention, data loss prevention, email security.
Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
Microsoft PowerShell, HTML, and other scripting languages.
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies.
Strong understanding of network protocols.
Familiar with NIST 800‑171 compliance requirements.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Exceptional technical documentation writing skills.
Effective communication of complex subject matter both verbally and in writing.
Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Must be organized and able to manage projects of varying length.
Positive, self‑motivated individual capable of completing tasks independently.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 7+ years related experience, or equivalent training, experience, and certification.
High School Diploma with 7‑10 years of experience in a relevant position.
