Job Description
Summary
Senior/Principal DevOps Engineer to join the SAI Managed Accounts platform delivery team. This role is a strategic blend of application software engineering and pipeline orchestration, focused on modernizing delivery infrastructure from a monolithic state to an isolated, highly efficient microservices model. You will bridge the gap between application code and cloud infrastructure, managing the end-to-end "Code-to-Cloud" flow across testing stages, quality gates, security scans, and environment promotions.
Key Responsibilities Pipeline Orchestration:
Architect, maintain, and upgrade automated CI/CD pipelines through lower environments all the way to production using Jenkins Shared Libraries written in Groovy. Developer Enablement:
Design automated developer-facing solutions and tools to streamline daily release ceremonies, reduce engineering friction, and optimize deployment flow. Release Coordination:
Manage and scale release mechanisms across multi-component environments, aligning tightly with QA, Project Management, and Application Development teams. Cloud Automation:
Build cloud-native utilities and automated deployment configurations utilizing core AWS services via SDKs or CLI. Observability & Health:
Implement environment tracing and monitoring solutions to quickly diagnose runtime deployment bottlenecks or microservice errors. Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years of software engineering, configuration management, and release engineering within large-scale enterprise environments. Jenkins & Groovy Mastery:
Expert-level capabilities building scalable and reusable automation components utilizing Jenkins and Groovy Shared Libraries. Modern SCM:
Strong competency with GitHub, including Github Actions, workflows, security scanners, and advanced Git branching patterns. Programming & Automation:
Advanced script development using Bash and
Python
(experience building internal APIs or tools with
Flask
is highly preferred). Build Systems:
Deep knowledge of package managers and build tools across stacks, specifically
Maven
and
Gradle
(for Java) and
NPM/Yarn
(for Angular/UI apps). Container Orchestration:
Solid comprehension of Docker containerization and Kubernetes cluster concepts (experience with Jenkins on Amazon EKS is a plus). Monitoring & Tracking:
Familiarity with Datadog, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry (OTEL) for logging and APM tracking alongside Jira for Agile workflow management. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
