Serving as lead, when leadership is unavailable, and as an expert resource and superuser within the service area. Assisting in new caregiver orientation, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities. Cross-training in and proficiently operating all relevant imaging equipment, capturing high-quality diagnostic images across various machines, and reviewing and verifying images for clarity and completeness before submission for interpretation. Operating all relevant advanced imaging equipment with expertise and precision, capturing high-quality diagnostic images consistently across various machines, and reviewing and verifying images for clarity and completeness before submission for interpretation. Preparing, positioning, and transferring patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any concerns, and providing radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Administering contrast media under a physician's direction and within the Radiology Department/Health System policies' guidelines. Managing and updating images and patient records completely and accurately in PACS (picture archival communication system). Monitoring imaging equipment for unsafe conditions and performing routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Submitting requests for equipment and/or technology needs and seeing them through to resolution. Scheduling radiology examinations correctly. Managing supplies levels and working with lead/leadership to resupply as needed. Assisting with QA initiatives. Performing clerical duties, as needed. Assisting with clinical rotations, as applicable. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelors degree program. Certification/Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Radiography (ARRT(R)); Basic Life Support (BLS). Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, such as performing imaging procedures while supervising staff. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills. Thorough understanding of protocols and ability to adjust as needed. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Pursue continued ongoing learning and professional development to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology.
Physical Requirements: • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
