RCR Mining Technologies (RCRMT) is seeking an experienced QA/QC Welding & Coating Coordinator to join our Welshpool team.

About the Role Reporting to the QA/QC Welding & Coating Coordinator this position is responsible for ensuring welding and coating activities meet all applicable standards, specifications, and client requirements.
You will play a key role in maintaining quality assurance processes, supporting inspections, and contributing to the overall performance and reliability of fabricated mining equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements across workshop activities
Monitor and review QA/QC processes and procedures
Review, develop and qualify welding procedures and welders as required to meet project requirements.
Conduct and support inspection and testing of welding activities
Assist with preparation, review, and control of QA/QC documentation (ITPs, MDRs, etc.)
Liaise with internal teams to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved
Support continuous improvement initiatives across QA/QC systems
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualification or Engineering qualification
Welding Supervisor and/or Welding Inspector certification
Proven experience in QA/QC within fabrication, mining, or heavy industry
Strong knowledge of welding processes, inspection, and NDT requirements
Experience interpreting and applying relevant Australian Standards
Excellent communication and documentation skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
Highly regarded
Leadership or supervisory training
