Job Description


We are looking for a Manager, Technology & Innovation to lead Salvaggio Academy's technology ecosystem and champion innovative solutions that enhance teaching, learning, and operations.

The Manager, Technology & Innovation develops and executes long-term technology strategies, supports instructional technology initiatives, oversees technology systems and devices, and collaborates with school leadership and external technology partners to improve organizational efficiency and the overall school experience.

This is a fulltime, salaried position and is onsite at Salvaggio Academy in Allentown.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute the school's technology vision and long-term roadmap

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend innovative technologies and digital solutions that enhance instruction, streamline operations, and improve the overall school experience

  • Collaborate with school leadership to pilot new initiatives, improve existing processes, and align technology investments with strategic priorities

  • Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to leverage technology in creative and meaningful ways

  • Oversee the school's network, wireless environment, cybersecurity, and core technology infrastructure in collaboration with technology partners

  • Manage Google Workspace for Education, Apple School Manager, mobile device management systems, and identity and access management systems

  • Ensure technology systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and properly documented

  • Partner with teachers and administrators to integrate technology into teaching and learning

  • Support effective use of classroom tools, digital curriculum platforms, assessment systems, and interactive displays

  • Provide responsive technical support and deliver professional learning opportunities for faculty and staff

  • Manage the lifecycle of student and staff devices including deployment, inventory, maintenance, and replacement planning

  • Administer educational software platforms, student information systems, rostering tools, and productivity applications

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for technology accounts and equipment

  • Oversee technology systems that support campus safety and emergency communications

  • Implement cybersecurity, privacy, backup, and data protection best practices

  • Serve as the primary liaison with technology partners to coordinate support, upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and strategic technology initiatives aligned with school priorities

What You'll Need
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field

  • Experience managing technology systems, infrastructure, devices, and digital platforms

  • Knowledge of Google Workspace for Education, Apple School Manager, mobile device management platforms, and identity and access management systems

  • Experience providing technical support, troubleshooting, and customer service

  • Strong communication, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Commitment to leveraging technology to improve learning experiences and operational efficiency

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Educational Technology

  • Pennsylvania teaching certification

  • Experience working in a K-12 educational environment

  • Experience supporting instructional technology, educator training, and professional development

  • Experience with student information systems and educational software platforms

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, support staff, and manage technology resources

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

  • Ability to inspect, transport, deploy, and set up technology equipment as needed

$75,000 per year

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
