Requirements:

• This role is fully remote. You can work from anywhere in South Africa.
• 6–9 years of relevant experience
• Deep experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proven experience designing and maintaining highly available, fault-tolerant systems
• Strong command of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response at scale
• Experience working in an English speaking environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
• Familiarity with chaos engineering principles and tooling
• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g. Istio, Linkerd)
• Prior background in software development or systems programming
• Knowledge of a backend language such as Go, Python, or Java
