Essential duties include the following
Designs, develops, and maintains scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into cloud‑based data warehouses.
Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions to address business needs.
Optimizes and tunes data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Implements data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data integrity and reliability.
Builds data models and develop an Enterprise Data Model at a large scale.
Works closely with data analysts and data scientists to provide them with access to clean and reliable data for analysis and modeling.
Stays up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and cloud computing.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as AWS Step functions, Airflow, or similar.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala is a plus.
Experience with SSIS, AWS Glue, DBT (Data Build Tool) and Fivetran / AWS Lambdas preferred.
Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure preferred.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments preferred.
