Join a high-impact QA organization where you will lead quality engineering efforts across a portfolio of data engineering initiatives. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Owners and development teams from PI planning through release to ensure high-quality deliverables. You will define and execute test strategies, oversee testing cycles, and drive continuous quality improvements through automation. This is an opportunity to influence product quality at scale while serving as a subject matter expert in test automation and quality engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in PI planning and review requirements and technical design documents to provide timely, meaningful feedback to Product Owners and development teams
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across an assigned portfolio
Plan and manage release testing cycles and timelines across multiple initiatives
Define, maintain, and update test strategies for new development, enhancements, and defect fixes
Review high-level test scenarios and collaborate with QA team members (including offshore teams) to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Ensure the creation and maintenance of a robust test scenario library
Lead the execution of functional testing for new and enhanced features, as well as regression testing for defect resolution
Identify, document, track, and triage defects; ensure timely resolution and closure
Design, develop, and execute test automation scripts
Identify and manage risks and resolve issues impacting release scope, schedule, and quality
Monitor UAT and production defect leakage; ensure validation and prioritization of UAT defects without impacting critical timelines
Communicate testing progress, results, and risks to stakeholders; provide QA sign-off
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for QA automation tools, providing consultation and guidance to development teams
What you have Required Qualifications
10+ years of overall experience, including at least 8 years as a Quality Engineer supporting data warehouse and ETL projects
Experience working on large-scale data engineering initiatives
Hands‑on experience testing data warehouse ETL applications, specifically using IICS or PowerCenter
Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with Python scripting
Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation, data flow testing, and data analysis
Experience working in Unix environments, including basic shell scripting
Strong understanding of DevOps concepts with hands‑on experience using CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, GitHub, and GitHub Actions
Experience implementing and improving testing strategies, including both manual and automated approaches
Expertise in root cause analysis and defect diagnosis
Experience implementing test automation within data warehouse environments
Experience working in Agile frameworks using tools such as Jira or Rally
Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams to achieve shared objectives
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, negotiation, and troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities and strict deadlines
Ability to clearly summarize and present testing results to stakeholders
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build relationships across the organization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel (macros), Word, and related applications
Experience working with Control‑M
Performance testing experience, including tools such as JMeter, AppDynamics, or similar
