Responsibilities Design, build, operate and optimize Bytedance\'s global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN. Work with cross-functional teams including but not limited to compute, storage, database, recommendation system, and drive the innovation and evolution of ByteDance network. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Good network knowledge, such as OSI and TCP/IP model Basic understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS and BGP Understanding of basic network monitoring protocols and tools, such as SNMP, Sflow/netflow, Telemetry Hands-on experience of network devices, such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper etc Self-motivated, good communication and written skills Individuals who are completing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline Preferred Qualifications Good understanding of IPv6 and IPv4-IPv6 co-existence technologies Programming/scripting in Python or other languages Privacy and Legal By submitting an application for this role, you accept and agree to our global applicant privacy policy, which may be accessed here: https://jobs.bytedance.com/en/legal/privacy Job Information Compensation The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $124,717 - $243,200 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that may include discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary by location and employment type.
