Senior Systems Administrator
The Senior Systems Administrator is expected to be able to accomplish the following: Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff. Required qualifications include: Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance Active CompTIA Security+ At least one Advanced Platform Certification: RHCSA or RHCE or Windows equivalent Minimum 8–12 years of progressively responsible systems administration experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise, multi-user environments in DoD or Intelligence Community settings preferred. Experience operating in classified environments. Location: Aurora, CO with occasional travel to Colorado Springs, CO Type of environment: Varies Noise level: Low Work schedule: "Normal work hours" constitute on average 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week (excluding breaks and meal periods) within standard operational hours occurring 0600-1800, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs. Amount of Travel: 20% While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance are required. Target salary range: $125,000.00 - $155,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
