If you spend your days firefighting tickets and wish you were delivering proper project work instead, this role exists for you. It’s a dedicated Microsoft 365 project delivery position. You will deliver Intune rollouts, Entra ID and Conditional Access work, SharePoint and Exchange migrations, and legacy server decommissions for SME clients, end to end.
This is a newly created growth role, driven by demand for Modern Workplace projects as we continue to strengthen our Microsoft focused positioning, not a replacement hire.
*About bzb IT*
We are a Microsoft-first MSP based in Bath, with around 18 people, roughly 50 SME clients and 2,000 managed endpoints across the South West and beyond. We hold four Microsoft Solutions Partner designations and have been growing steadily since 2019.
Behind the numbers, we're a tight-knit team of good people solving real problems for clients who trust us. We take what we do seriously, and we're looking for someone who wants to be part of that as we keep growing.
*The role*
You will deliver assigned Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace projects: scoped by your manager, backed by internal standards, templates and checklists, and supported by senior technical leads. Your job is to take well-defined project work and deliver it to a high standard: implementation, testing, documentation and handover into the support team.
Typical projects include:
* Intune deployment: device enrolment, Autopilot, compliance policies, configuration profiles, app deployment and security baselines
* Entra ID and identity security: MFA, Conditional Access, SSPR and access hardening
* SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and Exchange Online migrations and configuration
* Defender for Business / Defender for Endpoint rollouts, including Attack Surface Reduction rules
* Moving clients off legacy file servers and traditional infrastructure into Microsoft 365
Technical Account Managers own the client relationship, but you will communicate directly with clients during delivery, testing, migration and handover, so you need to be professional and clear in front of customers. Occasional out-of-hours work for cutovers is part of the job and is planned in advance.
The role reports to our Head of Platform Team. As the team grows there is a clear path into designing rollout standards, shaping delivery approaches and more senior Modern Workplace design work.
*What we are looking for*
Essential:
* Hands-on experience delivering Microsoft 365 project work: real migrations, rollouts and tenant changes, not just administering an existing tenant
* Experience configuring and deploying Intune (device management, compliance, configuration profiles, app deployment or enrolment)
* Experience with Entra ID, including MFA and Conditional Access
* Experience with SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams or Exchange Online migrations
* Strong documentation habits, and an understanding of why testing, change control and rollback matter in client environments
* Clear written and verbal communication, and the confidence to own assigned work through to completion
Desirable:
* MSP background, or client-facing project delivery experience
* Autopilot, Defender for Business/Endpoint, or legacy server decommission experience
* PowerShell for Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint or Intune administration
* Azure administration knowledge
* Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, MD-102 or AZ-104
* Full UK driving licence
You do not need to be the most senior person in the room, and you will not be designing every solution from scratch. You do need genuine delivery experience and the discipline to follow standards while thinking critically about how they could be better.
*Salary*
The band is £35,000 to £45,000 and we mean the whole band. Where you land depends on how much of the role you can own from day one. Solid delivery experience with room to develop sits toward the lower end; someone who can run complex migrations end to end with minimal oversight, communicate confidently with clients and contribute to our delivery standards will be at the top of it.
*Training and progression*
The best way to learn Microsoft technology is by working with it, and this role gives you daily hands-on exposure across the Modern Workplace stack. On top of that, we provide time during work hours for Microsoft learning paths and we pay for certification exams you want to attempt.
*Benefits*
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
* Hybrid working (3 days per week in our Bath office)
* Certification exam funding and paid study time
* Company pension
* Regular training and coaching
* Casual dress, friendly team, company events
*Practicalities*
You must be able to reliably commute to Bath three days per week, or plan to relocate before starting. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
Benefits:
* Company events
* Gym membership
* On-site parking
* Work from home
Application question(s):
* Are you able to reliably commute to Bath three days per week? (Or plan to relocate before starting) & Do you have the right to work in the UK? (Unfortunately, cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.)
