In addition, The Shannon Airport Group owns and manages a large commercial property portfolio of office blocks and a range of industrial, advanced manufacturing and aviation facilities in the region.
The Airport Engineering Project Manager will lead on the delivery of a portfolio of general airport projects in airside and landside environments, covering existing infrastructure, facilities, systems and utilities.
For larger capital projects at the Airport, this role will liaise with our capital construction project managers, providing technical input, coordination and assurance to ensure airport operational safety and regulatory requirements are met.
This position leads a project team and manages consultants, contractors and stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with aviation, engineering and regulatory requirements.

The Opportunity As the Airport Engineering Projects Manager, you will work closely with the Airport Maintenance Manager and Energy Manager and report to the Head of Engineering.
Your team will have technical experts and will collaborate with a range of internal stakeholders in the company.
What Youll Be Doing Scope, plan and design small to medium size airport projects in both airside and landside environments, preparing the technical specifications, supporting procurement processes and supplier evaluations Manage contractors and suppliers on site, oversee permits to work, method statements, RAMS, technical submittals, inspections and commissioning Act as the technical interface between airport engineering/operations and our colleague capital project managers providing airport specific technical input Identify opportunities for continuous improvements, e.g.
sustainability projects, automation and energy efficiency Typical project work includes terminal upgrades such as HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), Building Management System, electrical distribution, UPS/generators, fire safety, airside and landside civil works.
Airside project work is focused on safety and compliance and includes taxiway, apron and airside stands, pavement works and repairs, ducting and associated infrastructure as well as aeronautical data and airfield documentation.
Leading contractors and consultants in a live airport environment Managing programme cost, quality and risk on complex projects Championing the highest quality and safety standards across all project phases Providing clear, confident advice to senior stakeholders and decision makers.
Resolving issues quickly and efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
Liaison with various utility suppliers and Government Agencies to cultivate strong working relationships.
Adhering to public procurement guidelines, ensuring compliance and competitive procedures are followed and working closely with our Procurement Team.
Be fully accountable for the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, in accordance with the contract requirements and to budget.
Responsible for effective client relationship management, collaborative approach and providing updates to internal and external stakeholders on project/contract progress.
