Job Overview Reporting to the Business Process Excellence (BPE) Organizations, the Analyst supports Bioscience master data and processes, primarily working on IT data transition and integration activities. The Analyst is accountable for data integration goals, master data creation for new product introductions, process‑improvement recommendations, and SAP master data support.
Key Responsibilities
Execute end‑to‑end data integration activities, including BD SAP Everest data extraction, SAP S/4HANA data loads, data transformation, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of master data.
Maintain the integrity of the SAP ECC/SCM master data as well as other systems including Halfpipe / PLM application and works with business process teams and/or partners on issue resolution.
Actively participates in the Master Data and Enterprise Data Governance teams, working closely with the BPE teams to ensure consistency in master data related initiatives across the Biosciences business.
Conducts and coordinates training of other associates in required techniques, operation of SAP transactions, software applications, and other relevant group or department procedures.
Assists in development, maintenance and communication of metrics, workflow tools, and reports to ensure accuracy of master data and support continuous improvement.
Communicates with and supports regional affiliates as required to resolve product master data issues.
Demonstrate knowledge of all applicable master data staff techniques, operation of relevant software applications and system tools associated with the test and production environment of SAP and/or Halfpipe / PLM, FileMaker or other applications.
Responsible for routine, accurate and timely completion of all assignments. Proficient in prioritization of individual workload and assignments, identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Drive and execute the master data services team transition plan, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer, operational continuity, and adherence to defined service level.
Performs regular checks in system to identify master data issues (incorrect material setup, BOMs, Routings, Financial master data, etc.) and works with Master data coordinators and functional SME to correct MD issues in shortest possible time. Establishes traceability of MD issues and records changes made in the system maintaining an active log.
Understands business urgency and works through a regular cadence to resolve MD issues in a speedy fashion.
Demonstrates willingness to learn other technologies that house business critical master data and takes ownership of all key business applications for MD issues.
Maintains KPIs and dashboards of MD issues and reports on‑going progress.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a scientific, technical, or business discipline with a minimum of 2‑4 years of experience using the SAP system, preferred.
5+ years of experience including a minimum of 1‑2 years project management experience and a minimum of 3‑5 years business experience, preferably in a medical, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment, or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Experience working across end‑to‑end product development , data integration projects or NPI processes .
Demonstrated success operating in cross‑functional, matrixed organizations.
Required Skills & Competencies
Experience in SAP design/implementation with a good understanding of all SAP master data and material number assignment systems.
Strong Knowledge in Reagents and Instruments manufacturing processes with focus on master data accuracy requirements to ensure correct and timely execution of production/operations SAP transactions (i.e. – work orders, STO, POs, Invent. movement). Familiarity with new product introduction processes and SAP data requirements are preferred.
Strong knowledge of reporting functionality, SAP BI and Power BI, and ability to extract wide variety of data reports.
Knowledgeable of structured documentation and change control systems (ECO process), tools for process improvement, Quality System Regulations, New Product Introduction, GMP & FDA regulatory requirements (as applicable) and ISO 9000 guidelines. Experience in use of data automation tools (such as Innowera or Winshuttle) to support data loads, mass changes, and reduce manual data entry in applicable processes. Experience with Halfpipe / PLM application and functionality preferred.
Effective interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to analyze and follow up on problems and/or questions related to master data issues.
Ability to develop, apply, and maintain current processes and guidelines pertaining to SAP master data governance.
Preferred Experience
Experience in reagents, assays, diagnostics, or clinical product development.
Exposure to regulated environments and Design Control concepts.
Experience collaborating with IT teams on process‑enabled system improvements.

Salary Range $91,500.00 - $146,300.00 USD Annual Location/Region: San Diego, California
