Emergency Services Director

San Luis Valley Health is looking for a Director of Ambulance Services. This position supervises EMS staff to deliver care and within the scope of practices, coordinates care delivery which will ensure patient's needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, hospital policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines or regulation. Manages operations of the Ambulance Department to include financial, personnel, patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Qualified candidates will possess the following qualifications and skills:

1. State of Colorado licensed Paramedic
2. Current Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Life Support, and International Trauma Life Support
3. Five years management experience preferred.
4. Must have computer experience and with proficiencies in Microsoft Office products.
5. Must be able effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public as well as analyze data and information and develop action plans as needed.
6. Display understanding of regulatory requirements to ensure department meets Conditions of Participation and/or regulatory requirements necessary to maintain patient safety.
