Location: Medical Park, Winston-Salem, NC
Department: Sterile Processing
Schedule: Full-Time, 12PM-8:30PM - 40 hours per week - Monday through Friday
Our Sterile Processing Department is a critical unit responsible for the lifecycle management of medical instruments and equipment for 11 operating rooms at Medical Park. The Sterile Processing Department ensures that instruments and equipment are available, properly maintained, and ready for immediate use, ultimately supporting patient care. - Education: High School or GED, required.
- Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Sterile Processing Tech Certification, preferred.
- Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminolo
- Cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing equipment
- Ensures the instruments and equipment are available
- Ensures all equipment is properly maintained, and ready for immediate use in order to support patient care.
