The Yard Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the terminal yard and equipment in it.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with departments to ensure truck issues are solved and recovered. Tracks trucks and maintains all necessary reports to communicate with other departments across the company. Maintains daily and accurate inventory of tablets. Conducts daily audits of yard equipment with no discrepancies. Inspects all trucks for damages and cleanliness. Demonstrates high resource utilization. Monitors and responds to emails in a timely manner. Maintains cleanliness of the yard. Rearranges and organizes equipment in the yard. Collaborates with guards to maintain yard security. Reports and escalates issues to terminal manager. Conducts inspections of minor maintenance of equipment, both tablet and mechanical. Assists with driver training. Accurately enters information into AS400. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Class A commercial driver license (CDL) Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience in a motor carrier operation. Basic knowledge of North American geography. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or related software. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail. Strong customer service and communication skills. Mesilla Valley Transportation began in 1982 as a small independent fleet in the Southwest.
