The Business Analyst provides critical support for the organization’s budgeting, tuition development, business intelligence, and financial analysis functions. This role drives data‑driven decision‑making through in‑depth research, modeling, and the dissemination of actionable insights that directly inform agency strategy.
A key contributor to the growth of the organization’s business intelligence systems, the Business Analyst helps streamline data integration, supports continuous process improvement, and fosters cross‑departmental collaboration. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Budget Manager to identify and integrate internal and external data sources that support business intelligence and strategic decision‑making.
Conduct research to uncover trends and relationships in operational and financial data; develop models to analyze key performance indicators and strategic outcomes.
Maintain strong understanding of organizational operations, external industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact funding models or financial performance.
Analyze financial performance trends and prepare clear, actionable insights for leadership.
Support the organization’s annual budget and tuition development processes in collaboration with the Budget Manager.
Conduct research and analysis to inform tuition pricing, financial performance, and strategic growth opportunities.
Lead components of projects to deliver tuition plans and provide ad‑hoc analysis as requested by leadership.
Investigate and resolve budgeting and tuition‑related challenges and issues.
Maintain meticulous data sets for both automated and flexible use.
Develop and enhance dashboards and reporting tools (NetSuite, Power BI, and other platforms) to improve data accessibility and usability.
Support reporting processes and provide high‑quality financial and operational insights to a range of stakeholders.
Manage and maintain data integrity within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and financial systems.
Coordinate with Finance, Programs, HR, Enrollment, and Compliance teams to align financial insights with operational priorities.
Participate in cross‑functional projects to improve data accessibility and support data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.
Provide responsive, high‑quality internal customer service and data support to team leads and internal stakeholders.
Recommend process improvements to enhance data gathering, flow, and reporting accuracy; identify and address root causes of data quality issues.
Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business finance, data science, analytics, or related field.
1-3 years’ of relevant experience in financial analysis, research, or budgeting.
Oracle‑Netsuite Budgeting and Analytics experience.
Experience relevant to data science and research.
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years’ experience in nonprofit, education and fund accounting, or child development environments.
Experience with ERP systems (especially NetSuite) and business intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
Conducting similar research and analytics for organizations.
Experience with pricing and use of tuition/private rates in education and/or childcare industry.
Strong analytical, quantitative reasoning, and data synthesis skills; able to translate complex data into clear insights.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data modeling tools; familiarity with Oracle NetSuite and Business Intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
Willingness to learn and apply SQL, R, and Python for data analysis.
Experience conducting data research, building models, and maintaining data sources.
Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities with keen attention to detail.
Adaptable and able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Collaborative and customer‑focused, with a commitment to providing excellent internal service.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact, patience, and diplomacy in team and cross‑departmental settings.

Travel: Up to 10%

Compensation $91,576 - $137,363 annually
