Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in all aspects of occupational health, safety, and environment for Europe services/projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
  • Develop & implement EHS plans that are aligned with the Commercial/Residential business units strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other functions to achieve optimal EHS performance.
  • Develop EHS Strategy to ensure alignment of EHS goals and deployment and provide guidance to operational management on the prevention of workplace incidents and illnesses.
  • Develop and deploy EHSOS Operational Controls; develop additional policies and practices appropriate to the unit; monitor development and implementation of EHS programs within the unit; and report progress to the Country Ldr, CMC and EHS
  • Promoting and ensuring adherence to Lead with Safety Commitments and actively promote EHS as a shared responsibility rooted in the right EHS culture.
  • Coach management teams to develop a deep understanding of EHS responsibilities and the business benefits of robust EHS program.
  • Oversee EHS investigations into workplace incidents to uncover root causes, identify immediate and preventative actions and capture "lessons learned".
  • Identify EHS resource needs during project proposal phase, based on project role, scale, hazard profile and technical complexity.
  • Manage prequalification, deployment, and safety performance of subcontractors.
  • Lead EHS training & development programs.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections/audits and close on corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • This role does require travel throughout Europe on a regular basis to visit job sites and depot locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Engineering or relevant scientific/technical area.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive work experience gained working with organizations ideally in field service operations.
  • Regulatory knowledge including safety, environmental and other regulatory standards applicable to building services industries and construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and lead teams, drive change and interact cross functionally.
  • Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal.
