Overview The Ares Secondaries team specializes in secondary market transactions of private equity, real estate, credit, and infrastructure investments. We are looking to hire an Associate, Portfolio Analytics in our NY or West Hartford, CT locations to join our dynamic Finance team. Key Responsibilities Work with investment professionals to assist in portfolio monitoring. Perform detailed analysis of quarterly investment report valuations, including diversification metrics and valuation gains and losses. Prepare support for quarterly investor reports, as well as performance returns at a portfolio and fund level (TWR, IRR, Multiples, etc.). Prepare analysis of valuation changes and drivers across portfolio investments. Prepare quarterly investor reports with supporting schedules and documentation. Process investment amendments/consents with investment professionals. Provide data to Investor Relations as part of investor presentations and fundraising efforts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Approximately 2‑3 years of experience in investment analysis, accounting, or a related field. Strong record of academic achievement and self‑motivation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong financial analysis, writing, and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong work ethic, detail oriented, and strong organization skills. Minimum GPA of 3.4. Compensation Base salary range: $100,000 – $120,000.
