Physician - Urology


Job Details:

  • 24-hour call shifts starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 7:00 AM the following day

  • Specific coverage dates available in June, July, September, November, and December

  • Support staff includes nursing staff, anesthesia, and emergency room personnel

  • Busy facility serving as a hub for multiple outlying facilities in the region

  • Adult patient population

  • EMR systems include Cerner (inpatient) and GE Centricity (outpatient, for accessing patient records as needed)

  • 280-bed hospital

  • Special procedures include cystoscopy and/or stent placement for hematuria, kidney stone treatment with possible extraction or holmium laser lithotripsy, torsion of testicle (rare occurrence), UTI management, and consultation with ED or other providers for Foley catheter placement

  • Responsibilities include rounding on inpatient setting in the morning

  • Practice setting: Hospital

  • Board certification required

  • Active Pennsylvania state license required

  • DEA required

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred

    This facility is a 280-bed community hospital that serves as the regional hub for several outlying medical facilities, providing a high volume and diverse range of patient cases. The urology department is supported by nursing staff, anesthesia, and emergency room personnel, ensuring comprehensive care delivery. The facility utilizes Cerner for inpatient electronic medical records and GE Centricity for outpatient record access, offering a well-equipped environment for urological procedures and inpatient consultations.
