Working across the full product lifecycle, you will be involved from initial concept and design through to verification, testing, and production support, delivering robust, compliant, and high-quality engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities:
* Produce electrical design solutions including electrical schematics, cable assemblies, wiring documentation, and system level routing
* Develop detailed design documentation in accordance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards
* Support system verification, validation, and qualification testing activities
* Contribute to environmental, EMC, vibration, and other compliance testing as required
* Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure designs are delivered on time and meet technical requirements
* Participate in design reviews, ensuring solutions are compliant, manufacturable, and fit for purpose
* Provide technical updates on design progress, project status, and engineering activities
To be successful, you’ll have:
* Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience in electrical design within a regulated engineering environment such as defence, aerospace, rail, marine, automotive, or advanced manufacturing.
* Experience producing electrical schematics, cable designs, and associated technical documentation.
* Good understanding of power distribution, signal integration, and EMC principles.
* Knowledge of verification, validation, or qualification testing would be advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail with experience working within controlled engineering documentation environments.
* Eligibility for SC Clearance (5 years’ UK residency with no visa or sponsorship requirement).
This is a full-time, remote, permanent role offering £40-48K DoE. The site location is based in Dorset, where you'll be required to attend for the first month for onboarding, then visit once every 3-4 weeks for project updates. Outside of this, the role is fully remote.
