The Virginia Supreme Court is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join its technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web-based and enterprise applications. Create and maintain robust test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and testing needs. Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end‑to‑end testing. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders. Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated tests into deployment processes. Ensure software quality standards and best practices are followed throughout the SDLC. Required Skills
5+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering. Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or TestComplete. Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript for test automation. Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar. Knowledge of SQL and database validation. Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software testing life cycle (STLC). Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with government or public-sector clients. Knowledge of accessibility testing and security testing. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Candidates located in or near Richmond, Virginia are highly preferred.
