Job Title/High-Level Position Summary
The Data Warehouse Architect partners with the Sales Operation Team, IT, Sales Management, Finance, and Marketing to build comprehensive reporting tools that support multiple Business Units. The role ensures data integrity and analytics to support business strategies and constructs sustainable buildouts within PowerBI and its supporting tables.
Key Responsibilities Data Analysis
Manages, analyzes, and resolves data–related issues.
Compiles data from various applications, systems, and sources for analysis.
Compares DJO data against data standards.
Conducts data cleansing to eliminate old, unused, or duplicate data.
Creates data quality metrics and reporting to validate and enforce key controls.
Identifies areas for data quality improvements and resolves problems through error detection, process control, and improvement strategies.
Provides data consulting to improve sales performance, go‑to‑market strategies, master data management, and KPI management.
Data Governance
Develops data warehouse mappings, imports/exports, data mining techniques, ensures data integrity and standardization, and creates intermediate level queries, macros, models, and reports.
Ensures Master Data integrity in key systems by developing and documenting processes with functional data owners.
Collaborates with SMEs and data stewards to define and implement data strategy, policies, controls, and programs that ensure enterprise data accuracy, completeness, security, and reliability.
Reporting and Business Intelligence
Focuses on automation and repeatability to improve team productivity.
Builds, automates, maintains, and reports metrics and dashboards for leadership and teams across Sales, Marketing, and other functions.
Supports leadership with analytics for decision making.
Performs advanced data analysis using SQL, PowerBI, Python and similar tools.
Performs statistical, financial, and operational analysis and modeling and presents findings and recommendations.
Provides back‑end database transition support and conducts PowerBI training.
Publishes and schedules automated refreshes per business requirements.
Develops tabular and multidimensional models, custom DAX equations, visual reports, dashboards, and KPIs within PowerBI.
Integrates PowerBI reports into other applications such as Salesforce.
Works with other analysts and the BI team to identify source data systems and business requirements.
Participates in new technology evaluation and selection, building prototypes.
Partner with IT to develop and deploy data security strategies such as RLS and access governance.
Defines paths for independent user access to increase efficiency.
Writes SQL queries, designs, develops, and tests PowerBI solutions.
Understands business requirements and selects the best data model, customizing when needed.
Answers reporting requests using Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Birst, and PowerBI.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data reporting/mining, business strategy, Sales Operations, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Birst.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, PowerBI, and database extraction.
Knowledge of SQL queries, SSRS, SSIS, and Python.
Background in Data Warehouse design and data mining.
Ability to provide forward‑looking analysis for BUs, forecasting, and business trending.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Management, Information Systems, Economics, Finance or related field.
Travel Requirements
Less than 10%
Desired Characteristics
Experience working cross‑functionally among teams and business groups.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, translating data into meaningful visualizations.
Preferred experience with ERP data extraction tools (Oracle, SAP, BaaN).
Master’s Degree in a similar field preferred.
Strong analytical and synthesis skills; ability to identify and understand trends, opportunities, and market direction.
Demonstrates eagerness to acquire technical knowledge and pursue development opportunities.
Attention to detail, quality focus, clear communication of changes and progress.
Understanding of financial processes; prepares budgets, monitors expenditures, uses cost‑benefit thinking.
