As a KS2 Oracle Cloud Operations Engineer you will ensure the optimal functioning, reliability, and efficiency of cloud-based infrastructure and services. You will play a critical role in managing and supporting cloud environments, which includes monitoring system performance, implementing automation for deployment processes, and maintaining security protocols. Your deep understanding of Oracle Cloud will allow you to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborate with development teams for seamless operations, and continuously seek to optimize resources and costs. As the backbone of cloud services, a KS2 Cloud Operations Engineer is pivotal in enabling KS2 to leverage the power of the cloud for scalable, on-demand computing solutions.
What You’ll Bring
5+ years of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience
5+ years monitoring cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security
5+ years designing and implementing automation scripts to streamline operations
5+ years conducting performance analysis and optimizing resource utilization5+ years managing cloud infrastructure and services with minimal supervision
5+ years collaborating with development teams to facilitate CI/CD pipelines
5+ years contributing to disaster recovery planning and execution
5+ years leading root cause analysis for service interruptions
5+ years participating in strategic projects to enhance cloud capabilities
What You’ll Do
Monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security
Implement and manage cloud environment configurations, including scaling and automation
Respond to and resolve operational incidents, and participate in post-mortem analysis
Conduct proactive system maintenance, including updates and patches
Ensure disaster recovery and backup procedures are in place and effective
Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance
Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and promote DevOps practices
Enforce compliance with cloud security policies and best practices
Assist with the design and deployment of new cloud services and architectures
Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders and end-users
Document cloud operations procedures and maintain system reports
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends to drive innovation and improvements
Education 4 year College degree or 5 years of direct experience
Achieve at KS2 As a W-2 employee, this position provides a competitive base salary with attractive employee benefits, including participation in our bonus plan.
