What you will be doing as the Business Analyst, Data Reporting & Compliance:
Support Company's policy issuance systems for product and data compliance.
Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of the applicable business solutions and requirements.
Analyzes, identifies and writes detailed description of system requirements.
Makes recommendations for business process improvements with an understanding of technical problems and solutions.
Prepares analysis for production support of systems and applications and associated documentation.
Acts as a liaison between business units and IT. Develops and maintains knowledge of customer’s business.
Assist with the implementation of operational and system enhancements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient.
Develops and executes test plans based on current and future production needs.
Documents problems and coordinates resolutions.
Coordinates project with enterprise stakeholders.
Exhibits strong business knowledge and builds strong customer relationships.
Experienced knowledge of reporting tools and databases:
Strong knowledge of business information data sources and business data rules.
Performs other duties as assigned
What you will be doing as the Business Analyst, Data Reporting & Compliance:
1-3 years of related experience – IT and or Business Analysis that includes testing, debugging, documenting and/or maintaining applications or using applications in a business setting.
Strong analytical skills
Experience with relational database tools (ie SQL, Cognos, etc.)
Previous experience in the P&C insurance industry preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Beginning coursework toward certification in area of expertise preferred; appropriate certifications could include; an Associate Insurance Data Manager (AIDM), Certificate in General Insurance (INS), or Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
Exhibits strong business knowledge and analytical skills.
Previous experience in the P&C insurance industry, a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Access and Excel
Proven experience with relational database tools (i.e. SQL, Cognos, etc.)
