Group Risk Specialist - 2LoD Controls Testing and Oversight

The Group Risk Specialist provides a comprehensive and diverse range of risk management expertise to business leaders. Leads and supports the implementation of appropriate risk frameworks and leading related management activities to mitigate enterprise and/or business-wide risk exposures for key business segment of the Bank or functional area. May provide oversight, commentary, and recommendations based on overall strategy and industry best practices.

TD Bank is guided by the Three Lines of Defense (LOD) Risk Framework: Risk Ownership (1LOD), Risk Oversight (2LOD), and Internal Audit (3LOD). The second line is independent of the business and provides policies, standards, and methodologies, with the authority to assess and challenge the first line to ensure adherence to those standards. In this role, you will lead and support the implementation of risk frameworks and oversight activities that mitigate enterprise risks. You will also contribute to end-to-end controls testing and validationfrom planning through executionby assessing and socializing issues, monitoring remediation, and producing independent reporting across business processes and technology platforms, including support for regulatory and internal risk reporting.
