Overview This position is responsible for purchasing, creating, reporting and error resolution of equipment related to Meter Services and Rubber Goods. The role primarily supports FE Meter Test Shop and FE Meter Services.
The duties include validating and uploading smart meter, legacy meter, and metering transformer information to MMS/SAP systems; identifying and reconciling related issues; performing root‑cause analysis and recommending solutions to prevent future errors. The role also handles purchasing and tracking Rubber Goods orders, working with vendors to resolve invoicing discrepancies and facilitate returned goods authorizations.
Responsibilities
Communicate with Connellsville meter shop employees to identify processing error situations and suggest process improvements.
Interact with Akron and Bethel Meter Test Shop Analysts and Clerks to identify processing errors and improve accuracy.
Prepare reports for Test Shop Management that identify process improvement opportunities and provide supporting data.
Prepare and communicate Not In System reports for OpCo Meter Services Clerical Staff and Customer Accounting to flag processing errors.
Assist in creating virtual meter/transformer records for OpCo Meter Services when requested.
Analyze meter and transformer vendor files for accuracy, correct them when needed, and communicate inaccuracies to vendors to resolve issues.
Maintain purchase orders and load meter/transformer records in SAP using Meter Management Software (MMS).
Create and maintain meter and transformer purchase order packets for internal auditing.
Monitor MMS error queue, correct SAP device records and inventory errors, communicate error root causes, and identify business or system changes to reduce future problems.
Assist with conducting and reconciling physical inventory counts for the Meter Shops.
Process Rubber Goods purchase orders and communicate RGA's back to the manufacturer.
Qualifications Assistant Business Analyst level
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred; minimum 0‑2 years related work experience; or 2+ years of direct experience substituting for a degree.
Experience supporting projects and performing root‑cause analysis preferred.
Solid analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of the company’s safety policies.
Working knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control systems preferred.
Team‑player ability.
Ability to multitask in a warehouse environment.
Knowledge of material control processes and requirements.
Demonstrated independence in work.
Ability to make timely, cost‑effective decisions using available resources.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP, Shared Services (SSP) and CCS PRO preferred.
Associate Business Analyst level (adds the above plus the following)
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred; minimum 2+ years related work experience; or 4+ years of direct, related experience substituting for a degree.
Experience supporting projects and performing root‑cause analysis required.
