Own and drive technical strategy for a global technology customer, influencing long‑term business and technology decisions by demonstrating how adopting new technological capabilities can impact their business outcomes.
Design and deliver large‑scale architectures and technical solutions that solve significantly complex problems, creating new patterns and methodologies that can be leveraged across the organization.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customer leadership, asking strategic questions they aren’t asking themselves and guiding them through technology transformation journeys.
Lead cross‑organizational initiatives requiring consensus and collaboration among many teams for successful solution delivery, effectively influencing and force‑multiplying.
Mentor other Solutions Architects, sharing expertise and best practices while fostering growth and development within the team.
Support the evolution and roadmap of the AWS platform and services, connecting our engineering teams with customers for feedback.
Establish and build technical relationships within the startup ecosystem, including accelerators, incubators and VCs.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent.
Benefits
Base salary: San Francisco – $176,600.00 – $239,000.00 USD annually.
Base salary: New York – $169,000.00 – $228,600.00 USD annually.
Base salary: Arlington – $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 USD annually.
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
Compensation package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
