Essential Functions
Leads customer implementations to guide large, enterprise clients through advanced, spec-based shipping integrations, including manifest file and shipping label development and certification.
Designs and implements solutions for SPEC-based shipment files and order/shipment lifecycle processes, including data validation, transformation, and exception handling.
Works closely with internal business partners to design, test, and deliver technical solutions that directly align with key business objectives.
Leans into AI and emerging technologies to optimize business processes, automate reporting, and drive operational efficiency.
Gathers information from multiple sources to independently resolve complex integration, EDI/ETL, and cloud-related business issues (familiarity with IBM Cloud solutions, specifically IBM Sterling B2Bi and the Eliassen Framework, is highly preferred).
Analyzes business processes in large, complex shipping environments and translates customer requirements into functional technical mapping and integration workflows.
Applies hands‑on experience in EDI processing and deep familiarity with spec-based shipping integration to design robust customer solutions.
Drafts and reviews documentation, including data mapping specs and system architecture, in compliance with global standards.
Provides input to scoping and impact analysis for future infrastructure updates and new integration deliverables.
Leads C-level integration discussions with large, complex shipping customers to align technical solutions with executive business goals.
Performs other duties as assigned to support platform stability and modernization initiatives.
Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent.
Minimum Experience Requires five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Highly independent, future oriented and knowledgeable in strategic planning. Ability to influence and support cross‑functional project teams in order to achieve optimal results for the business.
Domicile Information This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories. If you live within the 50‑mile radius of a campus you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times per week.
