Job Description NETWORK ENGINEER PRINCIPAL

Responsibilities
Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Perform radio frequency site surveys, analyze network performance, configure access points/controllers, and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Requires expertise in 802.11 standards, Cisco/Aruba or Bastille hardware.
Plan, design, and deploy network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless devices).
Have a strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP), VLANs, DNS, and OSI models.
Understand the Risk Management Framework process to support IA team with Authority To Operate activities.
Perform maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks. Be well‑versed in a multi‑vendor environment for layer 2/3 switching and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), network‑management solutions, and virtual and cloud‑hosted networking technologies.
Install, configure, and maintain the entire physical networking Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) infrastructure. Oversee the WIDS implementation, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and system‑network administration activities.
Operate and maintain system administration, information assurance, and storage management for all WIDS architectures. Analyze network performance, resolve issues, and provide Tier‑2/Tier‑3 support for network and WIDS incidents.
Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining system backup and recovery capability.
Utilize network monitoring applications for traffic, access, and performance across the entire network. Ensure network reliability through continuous monitoring, proactive maintenance, and system upgrades.
Create and update technical documentation for network configuration, topology, and mapping.
Provide recommendations related to operating system dependencies, physical and virtual server environments, integration with infrastructure resources (e.g., storage and networking), and efficient configuration of operating systems and applications.
Coordinate the acquisition of hardware, software, and subcontractor services as needed.
Evaluate new network solutions, capabilities, and technologies to enhance network capabilities.
Serve as subject matter expert to elevate all IT issues to leadership.
Participate in special projects as required.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
Experience: 8+ years of related experience
Technical Skills: Westfield experience, Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) implementation, System Development Life Cycle, system/network administration, Windows and Linux systems experience are required.
Security Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
US Citizenship: Required
Role Requirements: Onsite client and travel required

Compensation The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
