The Counter Sales position serves as a key point of contact for customers, providing knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly service at the sales counter and over the phone. This role is responsible for assisting customers with product selection, order fulfillment, inventory support, and problem-solving while ensuring an organized and welcoming counter environment. The Counter Sales team members work closely with customers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors to support daily operations, cultivate customer relationships, and contribute to sales growth. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, basic technical aptitude, and a commitment to teamwork, service excellence, and the company’s core values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure a high level of customer service is always provided
Greet and assist customers promptly to ensure a welcoming and positive counter experience
Assist with stocking and keeping counter-area shelves and products clean, faced, stocked, and organized
Buildandmaintainconnectionswithpotentialcustomers,orleads,tocultivatenewbusinessanddevelop relationships
Ascertainthetypeofpart,fixture,orsupplyneeded
Inspectworn,damaged,ordefectivepartstodeterminereplacementrequired
Informsthecustomerofthepartneededaccordingtothedescriptionofthemalfunctionorthecustomer’sexpressedneed
Maintainageneralunderstandingofpartorfixturestocknumberandprice,throughtrainingorreading online/catalog
Findasolutionforcustomerordersthroughthesubstitutionormodificationofapartwhenapartisnotavailable
Processordersorinquiriesoverthephone
ResponsibleforPro-keepordersandcommunicationthroughtheprogram
Pickandfulfillcustomerordersfromstockusingradiofrequencygun(RFgun)technology
Assistwithloadingcustomerordersondeliverytrucks
Performothervariousduties,asoutlinedbythe supervisor

Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
Oneyearofrelatedexperience
Willingnesstoparticipateinpre-employmentandrandomdrugscreenings
Abilitytoliftandcarryupto50lbs.

Humanrelationsskills;oralandwrittencommunicationskills
Basic computer skills and ability to learn company systems
