Overview: Quality Manager The Quality Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the overall development and administration of Quality resources within the organization. Through input from customers, suppliers, divisions, and teams, the Quality Manager will allocate workforce resources to operational controls, projects, and program launches. Responsibilities: Plant Quality Manager
- Responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Standards are achieved
- Manage and maintain the Company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
- Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC.
- Recommends changes in work procedures or standards, to facilitate work and maintain quality.
- Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspections; first article, in-process, final inspection and outsourced product.
- Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, executed, and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
- Provide work direction for various aspects of the Quality Department-Quality Engineering, Incoming Inspection and Final Quality Control.
- Frequently interacts with all departments in manufacturing to plan, formulate resolve comprehensive quality and certification compliance procedures and issues.
- Interacts frequently with the customer to resolve certification and quality issues.
- Obtains regulatory certification required by state or federal agencies for all equipment manufactured at facility.
- Contact regulatory agencies to submit requests and resolve issues.
- Works with regulatory agencies and their standards to define and interpret requirements and obtain and maintain certifications.
- Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
- Periodically works with outside test laboratories.
- Maintains calibration for Quality gauges as well as Test equipment used in production
Requirements: Quality Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of experience in a Quality Management Role
- Strong experience in LEAN and ISO9001
